Rick Cook joins Ceva as COO of US biology unit

Rick Cook has joined Ceva Animal Health assuming leadership for Ceva’s U.S. vaccine production and related operations.

Rick Cook has joined Ceva Animal Health, assuming leadership for Ceva’s U.S. vaccine production and related operations.    

Cook has more than 20 years of leadership experience in veterinary vaccine manufacturing. His background includes bacterial and viral antigen production, technology transfer, process improvement, formulation, filling processes and quality.  

“Rick brings an incredible depth and breadth of vaccine production to our organization. During his career, he has developed both hands-on and leadership experience across nearly all areas of vaccine production. We are pleased for someone with Rick’s reputation and high standing in the industry to join our organization,” said Véronique Kodjo, global manufacturing and supply chain director. 

During his long career in the industry, Cook has gained valuable experience leading transformative projects and positively influencing corporate culture. Prior to joining Ceva, he served as site head for vaccine production at two top five animal health company. 

Cook will lead a team of over 400 employees focused on vaccine production and will be based in Lenexa, Kansas, the site of Ceva’s U.S. headquarters.

I understand the responsibility and care needed when producing vaccines to ensure the health of U.S.  and global food supplies.
