Australian poultry company Ingham’s is conducting a recall of 1-kilogram turkey roast products.

According to a notice from the company, the recall was prompted because the products in question were incorrectly labeled. Turkey thigh roasts were packaged incorrectly with turkey breast roast labels. Additionally, the products sold contained milk, an allergen not declared in the packaging.

The recalled products were available for sale at Woolworths stores in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory, starting on March 19. The recall notice was issued on May 1.

“Ingham’s apologizes to their customers for any inconvenience caused by this recall,” the company stated.

Consumers who purchased the product in question are advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.

Earlier recall from Ingham’s

The turkey roast product recall follows an earlier recall made about a month ago, also issued because of a mislabeling incident.

The company recalled products sold in Gluten-Free Chicken Schnitzel 440-gram packaging, but the packages actually contained Southern Style Tenders that are not gluten-free, and therefore the products contain an undeclared allergen that could cause a reaction with certain consumers. Those products were also sold at Woolworths stores, but their geographical reach was limited to Victoria.
