Committed to ever better supporting its poultry customers in making optimal nutritional decisions, Trouw Nutrition recently expanded its poultry team and appointed Dr Roland Koedijk, as Global Head of Poultry Nutrition, and Dr Adriano Perez Bonilla as Innovation and Application Specialist Poultry.

Dr Roland Koedijk (41) holds a Master Degree in animal science from Wageningen University (Netherlands), completed with a PhD in biotechnology obtained at the University of Bergen, Norway. Ever since Roland has gained extensive experience in commercial poultry nutrition while occupying technical positions in various international companies. Back to Trouw Nutrition since May, Dr Roland Koedijk is now part of the Trouw Nutrition Innovation team, located at the headquarters in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, and directly reports to Mr Ruud Eits, Global Poultry Director. “I am glad to be back at Trouw Nutrition and am looking forward to contributing to develop nutritional strategies to meet the challenges in a fast-changing global poultry industry, says Roland.

Dr Adriano Perez (38) holds an MSc and PhD in laying hen nutrition from the Technical University of Madrid, Spain. Then, Adriano fulfilled several technical positions at a large layer integration. The latest role he occupied was Poultry Specialist in the NutriOpt team at Trouw Nutrition. Adriano will help us develop and implement new products and services for professional farms, integrators and compound feed mills,” says Global Poultry Director Dr Ruud Eits, to whom Dr Adriano Perez reports. “Moreover, he will coordinate the program of Trouw Nutrition poultry pre-starter diets.”

Dr Adriano Perez also comments: "I really look forward to contributing to our company’s mission of “Feeding the Future” through innovations. A good example is our science on the feeding of young chicks which reveals opportunities for making poultry business more efficient." Adriano will be based at Trouw Nutrition’s Poultry Research Center, located near Madrid, Spain.
