HKScan names Ruohola supply chain EVP

Juha Ruohola has been appointed executive vice president of HKScan’s meat balance and supply chain and a member of the group management team. He succeeds Esa Mäki, who became CEO of Apetit Plc at the beginning of September 2019.

Juha Ruohola has been appointed executive vice president of HKScan’s meat balance and supply chain and a member of the group management team. He succeeds Esa Mäki, who became CEO of Apetit Plc at the beginning of September 2019.

Ruohola joins HKScan from Landeli Group Oy where he has served as a director of the meat division. Ruohola has been CEO of Polarica Holding AB as well as deputy CEO of Atria Plc and head of its Russian, Baltic and Swedish operations. Ruohola started in his position at HKScan on September 6, 2019.

HKScan’s CEO Tero Hemmilä stated: “Juha Ruohola’s diverse and international expertise in the meat sector supports perfectly both HKScan’s ongoing turnaround program targeting clear profitability improvement and later on, implementation of the renewed strategy.
