Fire destroys semi hauling 38,000 pounds of Tyson chicken

A semi transporting 38,000 pounds of raw chicken products for Tyson Foods caught fire in Ozark, Arkansas, during the early morning hours of September 27. The fire destroyed both the rig and its cargo.

A semi transporting 38,000 pounds of raw chicken products for Tyson Foods caught fire in Ozark, Arkansas, during the early morning hours of September 27. The fire destroyed both the rig and its cargo.

According to KATV, the fire occurred at Exit 37 of Interstate Highway 40, where the semi was westbound.

The fire caused authorities to close all westbound traffic until the fire was brought under control. When it did reopen, it was initially reduced to one lane while the scene was cleaned up.

Information about the condition of the driver was not made available.
