The Philippine’s Department of Agriculture announced it will allow 30,000 metric tons of pork and four to five million metric tons of poultry to be imported, according to reports.
This comes as food shortages are anticipated after devastating typhoons.
Various agricultural organizations deny the need for imports, claiming minimal storm damage.
