CP Group produces duck, chicken, table eggs and other egg products. The company has subsidiaries in Thailand and other countries in both the manufacturing and service industries. It has eight main business lines, covering 13 sub-business groups. CP Group employs more than 300,000 people. Perhaps most notably, it is the major shareholder of Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP Foods), an extensive network of agri-food holdings operating primarily in Asia and Europe from the company's headquarters in Thailand.
In June, WATTAgNet reported that CP China will build a new, modern broiler hatchery with a yearly capacity of 60 million. It is in Gucheng county, Hengshui city, in the Hebei province, China.
In October, Yahoo reported that CP Group signed a $7.4 billion deal to build a high-speed railway. It would connect three airports.
