WATT Global Media recently released the 2019 edition of the WATT Executive Guide to World Poultry Trends, featuring new forecasts, analysis and data for the global poultry meat and egg markets.

WATT Poultry Trends offers exclusive market reports and at-a-glance charts covering production, consumption, trade and more relating to industry sectors, countries and world regions. It is unique information compiled into one resource. A listing of downloadable datasets accompanies each section.

World poultry production is expected to reach 128 million tons in 2019, which is attributed to better technology and improving productivity. During the past 15 years, production rose nearly 44 million tons with the U.S., China and Brazil as the leaders in poultry meat production.

This year, the poultry sector expanded with a forecasted 3% increase compared to last year. Developing countries captured the majority of poultry meat production and consumption with changing diets and growing economies as the major contributing factors.

World egg production is up 18% reaching 74 million tons compared to 10 years ago with China, the U.S. and India as the leading egg producing countries. This continues to be driven by rising rates of worldwide egg consumption.

“WATT Poultry Trends is the premier statistical reference for global poultry executives,” said Terrence O’Keefe, Content Director. “Professionals rely on this unique source of data compiled into one place to guide them in forecasting, planning and budgeting for the year ahead.”
