400,000 birds slaughtered as precaution

A poultry disease in Spain, which led to the slaughtering of 400,000 chickens, was not the H1N1 flu virus, according to reports. Officials now say it was a case of the H7 flu strain.

The slaughtering was precautionary after 2,000 birds died near Guadalajara.
