In 2019, Americans spent over 20 billion dollars on Valentine’s Day gifts. Why not think outside the box and celebrate a loved one with one of these chicken-themed products?
Create your own chicken nugget bouquet
Tyson Foods has challenged sweethearts to create their own chicken nugget bouquet for a chance to win $10,000 for a romantic getaway and a year’s supply of Tyson chicken nuggets.
“Chicken nugget bouquets have become a trend,” said Lauren Talbert, senior marketing manager for the Tyson Brand, “and what better way to say I love you than with a chicken nugget bouquet this Valentine’s Day.”
Entries can be submitted by tweeting @TYSONBRAND with the hashtag #nuggetbouquetcontest. Grand prize winners will be announced in late February.
Scratch-and-sniff cards that smell like fried chicken
Quick service restaurant brand KFC teamed up with British card company Moonpig to produce a line of “finger lickin’” Valentine’s Day cards, including a limited-edition scratch-and-sniff card that smells like fried chicken.
Eight designs are available, including a customizable version that allows customers to add the famous beard, glasses and white hair of Colonel Sanders to an uploaded photo of a loved one.
Ten percent of proceeds will be donated to the KFC Foundation.
Chicken is the new chocolate
Forget giving your loved one a box of chocolate. This year, give them a gift box from quick service restaurant Chick-fil-A, available in a 30-count of Chick-fil-A nuggets, a 10-count of Chick-n-Minis or a 6-count Chocolate Chunk Cookies.
These heart-shaped trays will be available at restaurants from January 20 through February 29, while supplies last.
Heart-shaped chicken and waffles
Slim Chickens, a fast casual chicken restaurant chain, is offering an exclusive Valentine’s Day Champagne and Waffles Package this weekend at select locations in Northwest Arkansas. The limited time offer features two Heart-Shaped Waffles meals topped with chicken tenders, a bottle of Veuve Cliquot French Champagne, two special-edition Slim Chickens engraved champagne flutes and one stopper for $49.95.
Shred your ex for free boneless wings
Okay, so this one is more about moving beyond a past loved one, rather than celebrating a loved one.
Customers who burn, bury, rip or shred a picture of their ex at Hooters on Valentine’s Day will earn 10 free boneless wings with the purchase of 10 wings. Everyone who participates will be eligible to win a premium subscription to the dating app Bumble.
