CAHE, Asia’s main livestock expo, delayed due to coronavirus

In the past the expo has always been held from May 18 to 20 in different cities every year.

The 18th China International Animal Husbandry Expo (CAHE) will be held September 4 to 6 at the Changsha International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Hunan, China due to coronavirus concerns. In the past the expo had always been held from May 18 to 20 in different cities every year.

Billed as the largest livestock show in Asia, CAHE serves as a platform to learn more about the Chinese livestock industry and how to commence business in China.

CAHE attracted nearly 180 thousand visitors in 2019, including 1,200 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions, the exhibition area reached a new record of 130, 000 square meters. Nearly 180 well-known companies from the U.S., Germany, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Israel and Turkey took part in the 2019 CAHE.

Exhibitions at CAHE cover the entire livestock production chain from farm to table, including animal breeding (pig, poultry, cattle, sheep and goat, rabbit, deer, etc.), animal health, animal housing, feed and feed additives, feed processing, grain and raw materials, processing equipment, meat processing, packaging, refrigeration, meat products, egg products, grass and seed, media, knowledge transfer, consultancy and bio-energy.

CAHE will include these seminars at the 2020 event:

  • The 6th Global Broiler Forum
  • The 7th China White Broiler Industry Development Conference

This year’s event will be held in Changsha, the capital of central China’s Hunan province. It is a large city with a history dating to the Zhou dynasty. Today it’s known for its rare collection of excavated Western Han dynasty tombs, known as the Mawangdui.
