Hendrix Genetics acquires Integra, Avigen

Company acquires breeding lines in deal

Hendrix Genetics (already owning 34% in Integra) has completed the acquisition of the majority shareholding of Trouw Nutrition Biofaktory for Integra, of Zabcice, Czech Republic. Integra becomes the managerial arm of the poultry distribution division.

Integra was founded in 1990 and produces Isa, Bovans and Hisex commercial layers. It has 80 employees and owns 2 hatcheries, in Zabcice and Osek, and the related parent stock and rearing farms, with a total annual capacity of 12 million layer day old chicks.

Avigen owns seven pure breeding lines of Moravia black and brown.
