Canada spends CAN$550,000 promoting pork to world

Reports say the Canadian government is investing CAN$550,000 dollars to promote its pork to international markets.

Canada Pork International (CPI) is creating a campaign to open world markets for Canada’s pork products. The program provides marketing, technical support and advocacy tools.

This project is part of the larger AgriMarketing program, a CAN$88 million government initiative to increase Canadian exports. The program began in April 2009.
