Aviagen SAU team uses virtual tool to keep in touch with customers

Recent Aviagen SAU webinar updated its customers on the impact of the current COVID-19 situation.

On April 24, Aviagen SAU hosted a webinar designed to update its customers in Spain, Portugal and Morocco on the impact of the current COVID-19 situation on poultry businesses. Aviagen SAU General Manager Sergio Illán opened the webinar by thanking customers for their role in providing their local communities with a nutritious and affordable source of protein.

Other specialists from the Aviagen SAU team, joined by Lorenzo Rossi, Regional Technical Manager – Western Europe, then presented an analysis of COVID-19 and its commercial effects in the region, in the context of Western Europe as a whole and for the global poultry industry, in terms of imports/exports, production data and consumption trends. The regional information was based on results from a customer survey initiated by the SAU team.

The event was concluded by an opportunity for the more than 100 attendees to engage in a question-and-answer session. Due to overwhelming requests from customers, plans are in place for another event.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has presented challenges for all of us. However, the businesses of our poultry producers are still running, and we are committed to supporting them and equipping them with the knowledge they need to be successful,” explained Sergio. “Because the current situation has prevented our usual in-person meetings, the webinar is an effective tool to continue to share the latest vital information with our valued customers.”
