According to reports, India is experiencing a rise in poultry demand as the festival season continues and the country enjoys a mild start to winter. This comes as feed prices are stable, and thus improving margins for poultry traders.
Prices for live weight broilers have increased to Rs70 a kg from Rs60 a month ago. Egg prices have also increased 15%.
Poultry traders speculate that increased feed costs are coming due to low bean output.
