VIDEO: Supply stability may return in third quarter of 2020

Although the COVID-19 pandemic is worsening in the U.S., its poultry and meat industries may see greater stability the rest of the year.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic is worsening in the U.S., its poultry and meat industries may see greater stability the rest of the year. 

In a WATT Poultry Chat interview, Mark Jordan, executive director of LEAP Market Analytics, said changes made earlier this year are manifesting on the supply side of the industry. However, the demand side of the equation remains unpredictable and subject to the effects of the pandemic. 

However, the previous experience, he said, prepared meat packers and poultry processors for further disease challenges. Because of that, there should be less disruption in that sector caused by the disease.
