Perdue Farms has named Tom Harmon its senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective July 9.
Harmon is a seasoned human resources leader with more than 35 years’ experience across the manufacturing sector. In his role at Perdue Farms, he will be responsible for all aspects of human resources leadership, including corporate human resources, talent management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, diversity and inclusion and Perdue HealthWorks.
He reports to Randy Day, CEO of Perdue Farms.
“Tom is an exceptional human resources executive and a tremendous addition to our senior leadership team,” said Day. “I look forward to his contributions to help the Company achieve its goals and long-term objectives.”
Harmon comes to Perdue Farms from Myers Industries Inc., where he served most recently as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to that, he held leadership positions with manufacturing companies Dawn Food Products, Armstrong World Industries, Pfizer, PepsiCo and Nestlé.
Harmon holds a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University and bachelor of science degree in business administration and computer science from State University of New York at Genesco.
