COVID-19 is spiking across the U.S. The poultry industry should consider the possibility of limited demand from schools and universities.

COVID-19 is spiking across the U.S. The poultry industry should consider the possibility of limited demand from schools and universities.

In a WATT Poultry Chat interview, Mark Jordan, executive director of LEAP Market Analytics, said it appears the country is headed toward a suspension of in-person classes. The potential for sports cancelations could hurt demand for wings and tenders, too.

However, if kids continue to stay home this fall, there could be greater demand for convenience items like whole bird rotisserie chicken.
