Global Poultry Source, a single source supplier of hatching eggs and poultry equipment, marked steady growth over its first year.
Headquartered in Gainesville, Ga., Global Poultry Source was formed by co-owners Rick Wood and John Borrow. The pair put together a team with more than 100 years of poultry industry experience, and have grown the GPS team to 10 employees in its first year.
“We were approached by a group of industry veterans about starting a company,” Wood said. “We had a vision and through our team’s hard work, we are meeting our goals. Our international and domestic sales have increased steadily throughout the year, and we’ve been able to establish a strong network of growers.”
Global Poultry Source has developed a robust base of egg customers in nine countries.
“We are contributing to economic development in North Georgia by working with local farmers and local companies,” Borrow said. “We saw an unmet need in our area and an opportunity to get involved in an important industry.”
