Ralco adds Dr. Tim Broderick to its poultry team.

Ralco is pleased to announce that Dr. Tim Broderick has joined the company as Poultry Research & Development Manager. Dr. Broderick is responsible for research and development of products for the poultry industry leveraging Ralco’s patented natural approaches.

“I’ve always held Ralco in high regard for their cutting-edge approach to essential oils and prebiotics in poultry production,” said Dr. Broderick. “With my past experiences, I knew I could help Ralco continue to bring change to the poultry industry and offer producers the natural tools they require to reduce antibiotic use and raise healthy birds.”

Dr. Broderick comes to Ralco with a wide breadth of knowledge in broilers, layers and turkeys with strong research experience in gut health, microbiology and histology. In his new role, Dr. Broderick will provide expert technical and nutritional support to Ralco’s poultry customers helping them overcome health challenges and meet their production goals.

“Dr. Broderick’s unique skill set and experience are exactly what we’ve been looking for,” said Diane Wagner, Vice President of Corporate Research and Technology for Ralco. “Under his research and guidance, Dr. Broderick can help perfect our natural approaches and products to help poultry producers overcome specific health challenges like coccidiosis and necrotic enteritis.”

Over 20 years ago, Ralco pioneered the use of essential oils for modern livestock production to maintain animal health. Since then, Ralco has moved beyond basic essential oil and antimicrobial properties to create the NEXUS model to formulate phytonutrients. NEXUS is Ralco’s patented formulation approach that matches up the precise phytonutrient properties needed to overcome specific health challenges like necrotic enteritis and coccidiosis in poultry.

“The opportunity to work for a company that is at the forefront of innovation to meet modern-day production challenges is thrilling,” said Dr. Broderick. “If I can help poultry producers acquire more tools in their toolbox to naturally combat devastating diseases; that’s something I’m excited to be a part of.”

Dr. Broderick received his bachelor’s degree in animal science and poultry science as well as his Ph.D. in poultry science all from Texas A&M University. Dr. Broderick is now a Marshall, Minnesota resident and looks forward to hunting and enjoying his time spent outdoors.
