The former Allen Harim Foods complex and corporate headquarters in Seaford, Delaware, has been sold in its entirety.

According to a report from Delaware Business Times, SVN-Miller Commercial Real Estate announced that it had sold its final parcel of the land that once housed the complex. The property had been divided into 19 parcels, and those parcels were sold for an approximate total of $1.48 million.

“We were extremely pleased with John (McClellan, senior associate at SVN-Miller)’s  creative solution and tenacity in guiding us through this challenging process. His never-quit attitude was a key in this long process,” Allen Harim Chief Financial Officer Brian Hildreth said in a prepared statement to the Times.

Some of the land has been repurposed to house an early learning center, and another parcel is now the site of a church. Also included in the former Allen Harim property was land divided into eight residential lots, which were bought by two families.

The final plot, which was previously a hatchery, was sold at the end of August to Showtime Power Sports, an online motorcycle parts distributor founded in Pennsylvania, for $550,000.

In 2018, Allen Harim moved its headquarters from Seaford to Millsboro, Delaware. The company moved into a property it purchased from Pinnacle Foods that was previously a Vlasic pickle plant. Prior to that move, Allen Harim announced it was opening a new hatchery in Dagsboro, and once the Dagsboro facility was in operation, it would close the Seaford hatchery.

In 2016, Allen Harim also closed its poultry plant in Cordova, Maryland, and consolidated those operations into the Millsboro facility. The Cordova plant was acquired in 2019 by American Aquaculture Holdings, which announced it would develop a state-of-the-art vertically integrated aquafarm at the facility.

Allen Harim Foods processed 8.05 million pounds of ready-to-cook chicken on a weekly basis in 2019.
