According to reports, Sovereign Foods can now process up to 60 million chickens a year in its South African location after an investment of R700 million.
Improvements include the installation of a high-speed processing line and one of the largest refrigeration plants in the country.
The poultry facility has nearly doubled the number of employees since the improvements began three years ago.
