The USPOULTRY Foundation recently awarded a $4,600 student recruiting grant to the California State University – Fresno (Cal State – Fresno). The grant was made possible in part by an endowing Foundation gift from Agri Stats, Inc.

The grant will be used to strengthen the Animal Science Program, support the Department’s ongoing recruitment efforts in their local community, raise interest in educational and career opportunities in the poultry industry, as well as afford university students the opportunity to participate in industry workshops, seminars and poultry judging contests.

The USPOULTRY Foundation board recently approved student recruiting grants totaling $275,663 to 26 colleges and universities across the United States with a poultry science department or industry-related degree program. The USPOULTRY Foundation provides annual recruiting funds to colleges and universities to attract students to their poultry programs. The grants are made possible by gifts to the Foundation from companies, individuals and families, in addition to funds earned over the years from the International Poultry Expo, part of the International Production & Processing Expo.
