Following a cybersecurity attack over the weekend, JBS USA and Pilgrim’s Pride report that the companies have returned to operating near full capacity.

JBS notified the public on May 31 that it has been the victim of a cybersecurity attack, which affected some of its servers supporting the company’s information technology (IT) systems in the United States and Canada. Since then, the company has provided regular updates on overcoming the attack.

According to a notice to the market issued on the evening of June 2, the vast majority of the facilities resumed operations as forecasted on June 1, including all of the pork, poultry and prepared foods facilities around the world, and the majority of the beef facilities in the U.S. and Australia.

The notice further stated that JBS USA and Pilgrim’s were on schedule to resume production at all of their facilities on the following day, and that both companies “anticipate operating at close to full capacity across global operation” on June 3.

JBS USA and Pilgrim’s continue to make significant progress in restoring our IT systems and returning to business as usual,” Andre Nogueira, JBS USA CEO, said in the notice.

To date, JBS USA and Pilgrim’s Pride are not aware of any evidence that any customer, supplier or employee data has been compromised.
