Bojangles entered the chicken sandwich wars with the introduction of an all-new, hand-breaded chicken sandwich called the Bo’s Chicken Sandwich to menus nationwide.

”Bojangles knows a thing or two about delicious, perfectly flavored chicken served right, so who better to give fans a chicken sandwich that is sure to please,” said Chef Marshall Scarborough, vice president of menu and culinary innovation for Bojangles.

“And we can say with confidence that Bo’s Chicken Sandwich is so cluckin’ good you know it could only be Bojangles.”

Fried chicken sandwiches remain popular with consumers following the 2019 chicken sandwich wars. Although Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Chick-fil-A remain the industry leaders, new chicken offerings continue to enter the market every day. Between January and June 2021, 95 chicken sandwiches were launched to the market, an average of 3.8 per week.

More about the sandwich

Bo’s Chicken Sandwich featured a marinated chicken breast that is hand-breaded in a buttermilk coating and dusted with a secret mix of bold spices. A toasted and buttery bun, a layer of creamy, zesty mayonnaise and thick-cut dill pickles accompany the chicken breast.

“Our team had a blast perfecting this sandwich, and we can’t wait for you to try it for yourself,” said Scarborough. “One flavor-packed bite will have even the most well-mannered person saying, ‘that’s so cluckin’ good.’”

The sandwich retails for $3.99 at participating locations starting August 2. It can also be ordered through delivery, curbside takeout or order ahead through the all-new Bojangles app or www.bojangles.com.

The chain also offers a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which features a tender grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a lightly toasted bun.

Bojangles, founded in 1988, has 760 locations in 14 states. The quick service chain serves made-from-scratch breakfast sandwiches, hand-breaded bone-in chicken, flavorful fixin’s and Legendary Iced Tea.
