Erie Meat Products chicken recalled in Canada

Erie Meat Products is recalling Frozen All White Meat Fully Cooked Diced Chicken from the marketplace, due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, according to a notice from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

Erie Meat Products is recalling Frozen All White Meat Fully Cooked Diced Chicken from the marketplace, due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, according to a notice from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The recalled product was distributed in 4.54 kg packages, containing the UPC code 8 29810 93710 4, with a best before date of April 28, 2022. The product was sold to retailers in Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan.

While there have been no confirmed illnesses as a result of consuming this product, CFIA stated that the recall was initiated after the agency reviewed test results conducted on the products. CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
