Tyson Foods announced its entry into the kids refrigerated snacking segment with the launch of Hillshire Farm SNACKED!. The product gives parents a versatile, on-the-go snack pack option made with quality, trusted ingredients – made just for kids.
This launch marks an important milestone as the company continues to build its already successful snacking portfolio and deliver innovation that grows their branded protein product leadership. Combining the consumer trust earned through high quality products from Hillshire Farm and its category leadership in snacking, it delivers something no other snack on the market was. The reality of what parents need and want -- high quality ingredients, ease of preparation and use and great taste all in one snack -- wasn’t marrying up to what was being offered…until now.
Hillshire Farm SNACKED! provides a “poppable” protein pack complete with three bite-sized components that pair the signature flavors of Hillshire Farm meats with savory cheeses and a sweet treat. Easily taken on the go or added to lunch bags, it provides a good source of protein and calcium and is available in four varieties (all chosen based on what we heard from kids directly):
- Pepperoni with Confetti Cake Bites and Mini String Cheese
- Pepperoni with Brownie Bites and Monterey Jack Cheese
- Salami with Pretzel Rods and Monterey Jack Cheese
