China removed its import ban on hogs and pork products from the U.S., Canada and Mexico, announced China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine Dec. 1.

Out of H1N1 concerns, the Chinese government suspended pork imports from Mexico and the U.S. (New York, Ohio, Texas, California and Kansas) in April 2009. Later, China stopped importing hogs and pork products from Alberta, Canada.
