The American Feed Industry Association has established a presence on three social media services to give members and media additional ways to receive AFIA news. On Facebook and LinkedIn, AFIA can be found by searching for “American Feed Industry Association.” The association’s Twitter stream is called “FeedFolks.”

AFIA plans to post news and event information on all three Web sites, as well as its own site. In addition, it will list job openings at AFIA member firms on LinkedIn. “Making communication about issues and concerns more convenient to AFIA members is always of importance to the AFIA team,” said Anne Keller, the AFIA communications director.
