Other egg campaigns

Recently, the IEC has promoted the egg industry in a variety of ways.

In November 2020, the IEC, along with the American Egg Board, the United Egg Producers, and other organizations, created a collaboration called Team Egg to address industry challenges and opportunities that impact the egg industry. Additionally, the team is working to improve market transparency, sustainability and government affairs.

In April 2021, the IEC and the International Poultry Council signed a renewed memorandum of understanding to support continued growth in the egg and poultry industries, as well as work together on preventing avian diseases and improving biosecurity practices. After the signing, IEC Chairman, Suresh Chitturi, stated “The egg and poultry industries are perfectly placed to support the growing world population through the supply of high-quality, affordable, safe and sustainable protein.”
