JD Sweid Foods is recalling Hampton House brand chicken nuggets because of possible Salmonella contamination.

According to a February 9 notice on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) website, the recalled products come in 3-kilogram packages, and contain the UPC number 0 66123 52102 0. The packages also include a best before date of November 10, 2022.

The Hampton House products were sold in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

No illnesses from consuming these products have been reported to date, but the chicken nuggets are being recalled because test results showed the presence of Salmonella.

CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which could lead to the recall of other JD Sweid Foods products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated or additional food recall warnings.

Additionally, the CFIA is working to verify that the industry is removing the recalled product from the marketplace.

Consumers who have purchased this product are being urged by CFIA to not consume them.
