A shareholder request for a report on Tyson Foods sustainable packaging efforts was turned down during a vote at the Tyson Foods Virtual Annual Meeting, held on February 10.

The matter was voted upon by Tyson Foods shareholders, and it was denied by a margin of about 294 million to 125 million, with roughly 1.2 million abstained votes, according to a United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing. The filing did not offer specific information about the request.

The company opted to go to an all-virtual meeting format, citing concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In other business, the shareholders ratified the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company’s independent auditor for the fiscal year ending October 1, 2022. That vote easily passed.
