Controller Executive Director Fabio Luis Mendes Mariano will fill his position. Mariano has been with BRF for 14 years in various positions including Latam finance director and general manager of BRF Alimentos Calchaqui in Argentina.

Vice President for Brazilian operations Sidney Rogério Manzaro will also be resigning. Manoel Reinaldo Manzano Martins Junior will fill his position. Martins has been with BRF for 15 years and has experience in trade marketing/merchandising and supply chain operations.

“Mr. Fabio Mariano and Mr. Manoel Martins promotions reinforce the effectiveness of the company’s succession plan, allowing experienced professionals with deep knowledge of the company and its stakeholders to assume leadership positions,” said Chief Executive Officer Lorival Nogueira Luz Jr.

BRF also adjusted its board of directors in March when it elected Marcos Antonio Molina dos Santos as chairman of the board. Molina dos Santos is the chairman of the board for Marfriq Global Foods, the second largest food processing company in Brazil.

In the past year, the company also started construction on a wind farm in Brazil in collaboration with AES Brasil Energia and entered into a joint venture with Saudi Arabia.
