Buffalo Wild Wings: A fried chicken hot dog?

Have you ever wanted a chicken sandwich and a hot dog at the same time? Well now you can.

Buffalo Wild Wings has launched Bird Dawgs – a fried chicken tender in a brioche hot dog bun. 

The Dawg is about $11 depending on store location and comes in three varieties: 

  • Loaded Bird Dawg – topped with beer cheese and wild honey mustard
  • Honey BBQ Bird Dawg – topped with fries and Buffalo Wild Wings’ signature honey BBQ sauce 
  • Buffalo Bird Dawg – topped with ranch, crisp napa slaw and Buffalo Wild Wings’ medium buffalo sauce

The Dawgs, which launched June 22, are available for dine-in, takeout and delivery via the Buffalo Wild Wings website and app. 

“Buffalo Wild Wings is always looking for unique ways to surprise guests. Bird Dawgs showcase the quality of our hand-breaded chicken tenders, signature sauces and indulgent toppings in a whole new way,” said Rita Patel, chief marketing officer at Buffalo Wild Wings. “We are excited to introduce Bird Dawgs as we also rollout our new Happy Hour menu, designed to bring guests together with friends and colleagues to enjoy delicious, high-quality food, cocktails and beer at a great value this summer.”

The Happy Hour will be 3 to 6 p.m. on weekdays and menu items include: 

  • $3 tall drafts of Wild Herd Kölsch by Goose Island
  • $5 strawberry margaritas
  • $6 Truly Berry Cherry Limeade
  • $5 mozzarella sticks
  • $5 Bird Dawgs
