Coop Group wants to increase stake in Bell Food Group

The Coop Group intends to increase its investment in Bell Food Group, a diversified food company and Switzerland’s largest poultry producer.

Switzerland-based the Coop Group has announced its intent to further its investment in Bell Food Group, a diversified food company and Switzerland’s largest poultry producer.

According to a press release, the Coop Group wants to increase its ownership in Bell Food Group to exceed 66.67% of Bell’s shares. The Coop Group further stated that it considers now to be an ideal time to increase its shares in Bell, in order to benefit from the company’s success. However, there is no intention for a takeover or delisting of the food company, which is traded on the Swiss stock exchange.
