Animal health, welfare at risk in Northern Ireland

Northern Irish farming and veterinary organizations and the agriculture minister are calling on the United Kingdom and European Union to reach an agreement over the supply of veterinary medicines to Northern Ireland from the end of this year.

Currently under threat are supplies of around half of all veterinary medicines used in Northern Ireland, according to the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (DAERA).
