Versova, one of the nation’s leading egg producers, has named Jan Kramer as its first General Counsel. Kramer has served as a legal advisor to Versova and its farms for more than 15 years and has deep expertise in Versova’s business and growth plans, as well as the egg industry overall.

In her new role, Kramer will continue as Versova’s chief legal advisor, and will be an active member of the leadership team, particularly in the areas of growth and expansion, human resources and business planning.

“Expanding our leadership team to include Jan as our General Counsel was an easy decision to make, as she is a natural fit within our company and culture and has already supported Versova with nearly two decades of critical legal guidance,” said J.T. Dean, president, Versova. “Jan played a significant role in Versova’s acquisitions of egg production operations in Iowa, Washington state and Oregon last year, and as our company continues to grow and diversify, it’s essential that we have her exceptional expertise on our team.”

Prior to joining Versova, Kramer worked as an attorney in private practice for nearly three decades. She has gained immense experience in a variety of business and legal practices, including litigation, employment law, business law, agriculture law and environmental law.

“I’m thrilled to continue my work with Versova as its first General Counsel, and am ready for this new challenge,” said Kramer. “Having served as outside legal counsel for Versova, I appreciate the company’s responsible business practices, commitment to integrity and the principles and values that guide the company’s decision-making. Being a part of Versova’s leadership team and helping to guide future development and contribute to the farms’ successes firsthand is very exciting.”
