Burger chain, Smashburger, is branching out from its sandwich-centric menu with a new line of limited time chicken wings

The chicken wing menu expansion

The bone-in wings come in three flavors: Scorchin’ Hot, tossed in Nashville Hot sauce; BBQ, tossed with BBQ sauce; and Garlic Rosemary, tossed in the Signature Smash Seasoning, which is made of rosemary, garlic salt pepper and thyme, according to QSR.

“Our guests constantly crave different flavors and options, so menu variety is important to us. We’ve seen great success with our non-burger offerings and are always looking for new ways to change the game through our innovation. This new line of chicken wings was developed with premium ingredients including all-natural, hormone and steroid free wings sourced from local USA farms,” said Carl Bachmann, President at Smashburger. “They’re meaty and juicy, made with familiar flavor profiles we know our guests will love.”

The wings are only available at participating locations, and they come in a basket of six for $9.99 with ranch and a side: tots, sweet potato fries, crispy brussels sprouts or Smashfries.

To promote the new item, from October 4 to 7, customers can receive a free order of wings with any purchase over $25.

More poultry items on Smashburger’s menu

Other Smashburger chicken items include chicken tenders in a variety of flavors and different kinds of grilled or fried chicken sandwiches like the Bacon Smash Crispy Chicken Sandwich and the Avocado Bacon Club Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The chicken patty can also be substituted for a turkey patty.
