Thailand’s CPF moves into Africa

Plan to open facilities in Kenya and Tanzania this year

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) plans to launch its first African operations in 2010, investing $6M in poultry and feed facilities in Tanzania and Kenya, according to the Bangkok Post.

Adirek Sripratak, CPF’s president and chief executive officer, said that the company is also considering facilities in Nigeria.
