H1N1 found in North Carolina hogs

Likely contracted the illness from agricultural workers

With the identification of the H1N1 virus in hogs from two farms in the state, North Carolina became the fourth state with hogs infected by the 2009 H1N1 strain.

State officials said that the pigs have recovered from the illness and that they likely contracted the virus from human handlers.
