As part of Taco Bell’s move to offer more chicken, the fast-food chain has brought back one of its fan favorites: the queso-flavored chicken wings.

The chicken wings

For $6.99, the bone-in wings are coated in queso seasoning and served with spicy ranch sauce.

Customers can also order the wings as part of the Ultimate GameDay Box which also comes with Mexican Pizza and crunchy tacos, according to Thrillist

Gen Z and decreased cost of chicken

The two main reasons that Taco Bell is bringing back previous chicken menu items is to attract more Gen Z consumers – who gravitate more toward chicken – and to take advantage of the cost of chicken going down this year.

According to the Wall Street Journal, chicken prices have gone down 70% since June of last year.

Fun facts

Taco Bell was the first fast food chain to hire women as mangers.

Taco Bell was originally called Taco Tia when it was founded in 1962 and, alongside tacos, it served hamburgers, hotdogs and milkshakes.

The first Taco Bell location had a mariachi band.
