Little Blue Menu, the virtual brand operated by Chick-fil-A, will open a second location in College Park, Maryland, by the end of the year.

“Picture bone-in chicken wings, a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich and a side of Brussel Sprouts. Now imagine being able to get these entrees in one online delivery order,” the company announced in a blog post.

Evolution of a virtual brand

Little Blue Menu first opened in 2021 in Nashville.

Four virtual brands were initially announced. Food from the virtual restaurants, Flock and Farm, Garden Day and Outfox Wings, alongside classic menu items from Chick-fil-A. Little Blue Menu features chicken sandwiches, chicken wings and oven roasted chicken menu offerings.

Since the launch, Little Blue Menu tweaked their formula, now offering two brands – Outfox Wings and Because, Burgers, as well as the classic chicken sandwiches and other menu items from Chick-fil-A. Customers can choose from smoked, roasted and traditional bone-in wings, classic fried chicken, five different burger items, waffle or traditional fries and a variety of other sides.

However, there are no plans to sell chicken wings at brick-and-mortar locations, a disappointment to some consumers.

Orders placed on the Chick-fil-A app or through DoorDash within 10 minutes of the Nashville and College Park locations will be delivered via hybrid electric vehicles.

The name of the virtual brand pays tribute to Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy’s original restaurant, the birthplace of the “Blue Menu,” which constantly changes and evolves according to consumer demand.

“Little Blue Menu was built upon Truett’s passion to give customers more of what they want,” says L.J. Yankosky, senior director of the beyond the restaurant team at Chick-fil-A.

“The culinary team that developed the restaurants is world-class, and the array of food offerings paired with the option to deliver straight to your doorstep provides guests with more variety, convenience and flexibility.”
