US Poultry & Egg Association honors industry 'workhorse'

Brock of Crystal Farms recognized for his service

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association has named Jim Brock its Workhorse of the Year. The association awards the honor annually in recognition of service and leadership given to USPOULTRY and the poultry industry.

Brock is the recently retired president and chief operating officer of Crystal Farms, positions he had held since 1997. He began his career in 1961 with Otis Feed Company in Parsonsburg, Md. He joined Crystal Farms in 1965 as manager of the feed division. He has held various positions at Crystal Farms in feed production, egg production and operations. Brock has served on the boards of directors of USPOULTRY, Georgia Egg Association, American Egg Board and United Egg Producers. He is past president of the Georgia Feed and Grain Association.
