Shanghai-based VNU Exhibitions Asia and Thailand’s NCC Exhibition Organizer have announced Aquatic Asia 2011, which organizers call the first dedicated trade show for the Asia-Pacific aquaculture business.
Aquatic Asia 2011 will take place March 9-11, 2011, and be co-located with VIV Asia 2011 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Thailand. The aquaculture event covers the production of fish, mollusks, crustaceans and algae. A significant portion of exhibitors will be from the feeding, husbandry and breeding sectors, a press release from VNU Exhibitions Asia said.
Aquatic Asia 2011 is an independent outgrowth of aquaculture events held as part of VIV Asia in 2007 and 2009. According to VNU Exhibitions Asia, 25% of visitors to VIV Asia 2009 “had a specific interest in aquaculture.”
