France’s Abera buys majority share in Porcgros

Paris slaughtering plant to supply 5,000 hogs to city each week

The slaughtering company Abera is reported to have purchased the majority of the pig meat specialist Porcgros, based near Paris. The Porcgros plant will supply wholesalers and processors in the Paris region with an estimated 5,000 carcasses a week.

Abera is owned by Groupe Glon, based in Brittany, France, and chaired by Alain Glon.
