FAO recognizes International Poultry Council

Representatives of the two organizations sign MOU in Paris

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has recognized the International Poultry Council as the official organization representing the interest of the global poultry meat industry.

The World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and the Codex Alimentarius Commission previously recognized the organization.

Jim Sumner, president of the International Poultry Council, and Samuel Jutzi, director of the FAO’s Animal Production and Health Division, signed the memorandum of understanding in Paris.
