EGGS! all set for VIV Europe

Show is ready to begin Tuesday, defying travel disruptions

A highlight of the 2010 VIV Europe show is all ready to begin Tuesday, defying the travel disruptions of the last few days from the ban on flights into and out of northern Europe airpace.

The show's special section called EGGS! will have its own pavilion on the exhibition floor throughout the event featuring suppliers to the worldwide egg industry, an Information Lounge offering articles and brochures about eggs and a museum presenting the history of the industry.

On Tuesday 20 April and Wednesday 21 April this section will also feature an EGGS! conference presented jointly by WATT and VIV. Leading experts will speak at the conference on global market developments and provide specialist guidance on health aspects, genetics, layer housing, incubation and hatching, production systems and processing. The program opens at 13:00 on Tuesday with remarks by Dr Simon Shane, editor of Egg Industry, who will also moderate the sessions on both days.
