Tecno Poultry Systems LLC, Lancaster, Penn., the U.S. subsidiary of the parent company Tecno Poultry Equipment in Italy, will install a 150,000-hen enriched colony system at Hawkeye Pride Egg Farm in Corwith, Iowa, according to Larry Horst, company representative.

Hens will be placed in March 2011. The flock will be housed at 67 square inches per bird. The enriched system will be equipped with perches, a nest box, scratch area and nipple drinkers.
