Domino to market Osborne scales

System sorts pigs by weight

W. Domino A/S of Denmark will market Osborne Industries Inc. pig sorting scales in Europe under a new deal with the U.S.-based firm. The scales use Osborne’s Weight Watcher Growth Management System. The technology sorts pigs by weight and manages growth of pigs in large pens.

The system enables targeted feeding based on weigh,t and uses feed more efficiently, reducing weight variation and feed cost. With the system, a farm can increase the number pigs that go through the finishing barn and market more pounds of pork each year, according to Osborne Industries.
