Hypor acquires Designed Genetics

Hypor has purchased Designed Genetics, a Canadian company specializing in the Duroc breed of hog. The company will become part of Hypor, the swine breeding division of Hendrix Genetics.

The company expects this acquisition to speed growth in North America. Designed Genetics’ primary shareholder, Paul Riese and his family, will remain active with Hypor after the deal is complete. Hendrix and its Hypor division are headquartered in the Netherlands with breeding centers in North America, Europe and Asia.
